Micah Carlson is a historian whose research is animated by questions about violence and memory in the United States. She is particularly curious about the way in which power disciplines the historian through method, archive, and narrative form.

Dr. Carlson currently serves as Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of New England where she teaches courses on the history of girlhood, the history of the United States, and English Composition.
